Plan both sides of the polarization setup

Polarized lighting can be part of a glare-control arrangement, but the light is only one component. Check what is fitted to the selected model and whether a compatible analyzer is needed at the lens. Evaluate the result on the actual surface instead of assuming every reflection will disappear.

  • Verify the included polarizer, usable aperture and orientation or adjustment provisions in the model data; do not assume a lens-side filter is supplied with the light.
  • Compare the light colour and output with the camera, exposure and surface. Account for light loss through the optical filtering arrangement during the trial.
  • Check the ring opening, working distance, mounting and controller requirements, then test feature visibility as well as the reduction in unwanted glare.
